Leave Johannesburg or Pretoria in an air-conditioned microbus with an experienced Kruger Park guide. Travel east across the Highveld farmlands and down the beautiful Elands Valley to Nelspruit - centre of our finest citrus farms. Continue to the entrance of Kruger Park in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon on your first exciting game drive looking for herds of elephant, giraffe and antelope. Before sunset arrive at your Rest Camp and book into an air-conditioned chalet with shower / toilet and screens to prevent insects. Enjoy dinner in the privatised restaurant.
Day 2
Leave camp at dawn for an early morning game drive to look for lions and other Big Five species ( lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo ) followed by breakfast. Continue to a waterhole to see hippos dozing in the water & crocodiles lying on the bank , then return to camp for siesta or perhaps a refreshing swim. Later, board the open safari vehicle for an evening game drive ( duration 3 hours ) when you can see the beautiful sunset & then using spotlights, search for hyena & other nocturnal species. Overnight at your Rest Camp.
Day 3
Depart on another memorable early morning game drive to look for those elusive animals you might have missed such as leopard in the rocky outcrops. Breakfast before leaving the Park & then enjoy a scenic drive via God's Window, 3 Rondavels in Blyde River Canyon & the Valley of the Olifants. Arrive at the Private Lodge by mid-afternoon & book into an en suite chalet with ceiling fan & insect screens. Approx 16.30 board the open safari vehicle for an evening game drive stopping en route for "sundowners ". Return to the lodge for dinner usually served around a campfire under the starlit sky. Overnight listening to hyena or other nocturnal animals.
Day 4
Join the armed ranger for an early morning game drive and / or bush walk to learn about the smaller creatures including birds . Return to the lodge & freshen-up before a delicious breakfast then take some final photos in the African bush. Depart for a relaxing homeward journey through the farmlands and trout fishing areas of Dullstroom . Stop for refreshments & then arrive back at Johannesburg Airport approximately 16.00 for onward flights or continue to your hotel or Waybury House.

Rest Camps in Kruger Park
There are 12 main rest camps situated in different areas of Kruger Park which enables visitors freedom of movement to explore the reserve. The original term “ rest camp” is misleading to most overseas tourists & implies a rather basic or temporary facility . In fact, these rest camps are permanent structures similar to small resorts providing comfortable African style chalets, licensed restaurants, shops & other features.
We choose overnight camps according to availability & our knowledge of conditions. There are different types of accommodation including standard chalets, luxury riverside chalets, family cottages, furnished safari tents or economy huts.
Our night at a privatelodge is spent at one of the following; Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge, Moholoholo Forest Camp or GwalaGwala Luxury Tented Camp.
