Kruger Safari packing Guide
The list below is jut a guideline and suggestions not a comprehensive list.
- Malaria prophylactics and insect repellent
- Camera, don't forget film, batteries, memory stick or charger
- comfortable shoes if you are doing a walk you will need covered no shoes ( no sandals)
- For walking: neutral clothing no black white or bright colours. try to fit with the environment
- for driving: shorts and t-shirts during the days (especially summer)
- Long sleeves and trousers for evening to prevent mosquito / insect bites
- toiletries
- Towel (camping)
- Rain Jacket & or warm jacket - it can be chilly on an open vehicle on night or early morning game drive
- Hat and Sunglasses
- Torch
- Sun Block
Binoculars are not essential they can be useful, although many people these days use digital camer zooms to almost the same effect.
A small day pack or bag is hamdy to have to the game vehilces, bear in that you will probably want to carry a couple of litres of water with you, especially in the summer.
