Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve

Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, located 280 km north of Durban, is the oldest proclaimed park in Africa. It consists of 960 km² of hilly topography in central Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Established in 1895 as two separate parks, the Hluhluwe (in the north) and Imfolozi (in the south) were joined into one large game reserve in 1989

Full Day Hluhluwe Game Reserve Safari

An early morning departure will see you leaving Durban's coast and travelling to the Hluhluwe-Umflozi Game Reserve. Here, you have the opportunity to take closed vehicle game drives and see the Big 5, as well as other animals such as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, spotted hyena plus over 450 bird species. Lunch is at the award winning Hilltop Camp.
