The beauty of game viewing is rarely having the same wildlife experience twice. With a 6 safari filled with open vehicle game drives, a sunset drive and a Kruger Park ranger led game walk. After the final morning game drive see some of South Africa's magnificent panoramic route, including Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and Lisbon Waterfall. Accommodation is in en suite chalets in the Kruger National Park's Skukuza restcamp.

6 Day Classic Kruger National Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Gauteng – Kruger Park
Heading through the wide open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area. We stop for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach the Kruger National Park in the afternoon.

After settling in to our accommodations at Skukuza Restcamp, it's time for SAN PARKS sunset drive. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and the Kruger Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Kruger Park ranger, there may be other guests on this drive.

Dinner is a three course meal served with an accompanying wine, served al fresco at our private camp within Skukuza. (Dinner included)

Days 2 to 5: Full day in the Kruger National Park
After an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times) we have tea or coffee & rusks (dried biscuits to be dunked in your drink!) We then set off on the morning game drivewhich will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!

On returning to Skukuza, breakfast/brunch will be ready at our camp. Then take some time out to enjoy the camp facilities or have a nap before the afternoon game drive. All our game drives in specially adapted 4x4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point.

We include a SAN Parks Bush walk for all our guests spending 5 days or more with us. These walks are also conducted by a Parks ranger and there may be other guests joining this activity. (Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on bush walks). The Bush walk takes place very early in the morning & you will not be joining our morning game drive on this day. A Bush walk allows guests to really get close to nature! Although you may encounter some animals, you should note that the purpose of such a walk is not game viewing, but rather exploring other aspects of nature. Please remember to pack comfortable walking shoes.

6 day Classic kruger National park safaris

Day 6: Kruger – Panorama Route – Gauteng
The final morning in the park, there is still one more chance for game viewing as we spend around 1 ½ to 2 hours leaving the park. This drive is from our closed, air conditioned tour vehicle as we leave the park.

The final highlight of our safaris is exploring the renowned Panorama Route! Attractions visited include the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. We stop en-route for lunch (own expense), before heading back to Johannesburg.

Classic Kruger Safari Accommodation

Accommodation is in en-suite chalets with beds, linen, towels & soap. These chalets have a small fridge, air conditioning and mosquito proofing on the doors & windows.

The chalets are in Skukuza Restcamp, the largest of the Kruger National Parks camps. We have our own private camp with Skukuza accessible only to our clients. This is where we you will enjoy your chef prepared meals and can relax around the campfire in the evening.

All of our guests have acces to the full facilities of the Skukuza Restcamp including the swimming pools.
